This page covers rent increases in Illinois for a residential tenancy — whether there is a cap, and what notice a landlord must give.

It does not cover commercial leases, subsidised housing (which follows federal rules), or any city whose local ordinance differs from the state rule.

Is there a rent cap?

伊利诺伊无州级租金上限。50 ILCS 825 明令禁止全州任何地方（含 home-rule 自治市）制定租金管制。

Rent Control Preemption Act（1997）禁止任何城市、县、自治市对私人住宅或商业物业的租金金额实施管制、稳定或上限。固定期租约内不得涨租（除非租约含 escalator 条款）；月租涨租靠 9-207 的 30 天终止通知实现。
